CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The man who spoke out for U.S. airline pilots has decided to sue the union he once represented. Mike Cleary worked as a union president for almost four years. When Cleary was preparing to leave, the pilots’ association refused to pay him for more than 100 days of vacation he earned. Cleary's attorney Josh Van Kampen, filed the lawsuit.

Cleary's attorney, Josh Van Kampen, filed the lawsuit.“The organization cannot be credible in battling for the rights of the U.S. Airways pilots to management if it doesn’t respect the rights of its own members and its own officers,” Cleary said.The U.S. Airlines Pilot Association has not commented on the claim and has yet to see the lawsuit.Click here to see Van Kampen Law on WSOC-TV
